The Benson and Dunn communities in North Carolina are mourning the death of Brock Ty Stahl, a 25-year-old husband and father whose life was tragically cut short on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. His passing has left his wife, young son, unborn child, relatives, friends and loved ones facing an immense loss.
Brock was born on September 23, 2000, in Orange County, North Carolina. He was remembered by those closest to him as a hardworking and devoted family man who took great pride in providing for and spending time with the people he loved.
He was married to Emma Rae Maples Stahl, his wife of five years, and together they had a young son, Beckett Allen Stahl. The couple was also preparing to welcome another child, a daughter they planned to name Sadie. Brock’s sudden death has therefore brought profound grief to a family that had been looking forward to growing together.
Remembering Brock Stahl
Brock was known for his practical abilities and his passion for mechanical work. Family and friends remembered him as someone who enjoyed working with his hands and had a talent for repairing things. He was described as the kind of person who could fix almost anything, reflecting his patience, determination and problem-solving abilities.
Education was another important part of Brock’s life. He recently earned a degree in Cyber Security, an accomplishment that represented his dedication to building a secure future for himself and his family.
After completing high school, Brock served in the United States Army. His military service was an important part of his life before he later began working for West Farms Wood Products in Newton Grove, North Carolina. He was also connected with Central Baptist Church in Dunn.
His family said Brock took particular pride in his role as a husband and father. His relationship with Emma and their son Beckett was central to his life, while the anticipation of welcoming Sadie added another source of happiness to the family.
Brock was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Nowell, and his father-in-law, Joseph Allen “Joey” Maples.
Funeral Arrangements
According to the information provided by the family, visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, located at 6050 Plain View Highway in Dunn, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
The family has asked friends, relatives and members of the community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult period. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Emma Stahl for the Stahl Children Educational Fund.
Brock is survived by his wife Emma, son Beckett, unborn daughter Sadie, parents, grandparents, siblings, in-laws, extended relatives and many friends who will continue to remember him.
His death represents a heartbreaking loss for everyone who knew him. As family and friends gather to honor his life, they will remember Brock for his dedication, military service, accomplishments, mechanical skills, humor and, above all, his love for his family.
Though his life ended far too soon, the memories he created with those closest to him will remain part of his family’s story. Brock Ty Stahl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by everyone whose life he touched.
